The logistics centre in Siegenburg, Lower Bavaria in Germany, which opened in August 2024, sets new standards in energy efficiency and air conditioning. Innovative technologies and sustainable solutions are combined over an area of 24,000 m². Together with WOLF GmbH, ELCO GmbH, both companies of the Ariston Group, have developed and implemented a pioneering energy and indoor climate concept.
At the heart of the high-bay warehouse (hall A) are six air-to-water heat pumps of type AEROTOP® L 65 connected in a cascade. With a total output of 420 kW, they not only ensure a constant room temperature of 19 °C in the winter months, but also enable cooling in the summer thanks to their reversible function. The heating system is supplemented by concrete core activation, which ensures even heat distribution via the floor slab.
The ELCO heat pumps work seamlessly with the WOLF ventilation technology. The central ventilation solution, consisting of the KG Top 1010 and KG Top 1515 units, guarantees efficient ventilation. This technology is also used in the administrative and social areas of Hall A and in Hall B, where ELCO and WOLF systems have also been harmoniously combined.
Sustainable technology and service expertise
ELCO relies on environmentally friendly refrigerant (R32) and equipment that ensures maximum efficiency and durability in its AEROTOP® L heat pumps. From commissioning by trained cooling technicians to a comprehensive service network with over 300 employees in Germany, ELCO offers unparalleled all-round support.
This project shows how intelligent systems and partnerships can create forward-looking, sustainable solutions for modern industrial plants.
