Technology that convinces

ELCO delivers exceptional products with strength and durability at the centre of their design ethos. All ELCO condensing boilers utilise stainless steel heat exchangers, as the material provides exceptional resistance to the corrosive environment created during the combustion process.

Indeed, stainless steel is more corrosion resistant than aluminium, ensuring its heat transfer properties decrease less over time. We also place a heavy emphasis on environmental and health-related issues, ensuring all our products have incredibly low emissions and minimal noise levels.

Powered by quality

HEX³ is the proprietary heat exchanger at the core of our combustion technology. It is utilised across our entire premium gas boiler range – from the largest commercial models to our domestic units.

Featuring a multi-pipe construction, the heat exchanger helps achieve a high condensation rate even at full load, returning the highest levels of efficiency.

The HEX³ configuration also results in significantly lower NOx emissions, with ELCO’s products performing 60% below the EU NOx limit on average.

Design principles

Ease of installation and transportation are equally important, especially as most products are either retrofitted or installed as replacement systems in existing buildings. As a result, modularity, cascading and low weight are also crucial.

Thanks to a compact, modular design, ELCO products can be used in a wide variety of projects and easily transported through a building’s infrastructure.

Our AEROTOP® S air-to-water indoor heat pump, which can be divided into two parts, allowing it to be easily fitted inside existing residential buildings without the need for costly demolition. Both parts are then connected when they are placed in the final position.

Similarly, our modular design approach extends to the floor standing gas condensing boilers TRIGON® XL and TRIGON® XXL, allowing them to be disassembled for easy onsite handling and installation in buildings with restricted access.

This is in addition to outputs ranging from 160kW to 2MW and the ability to work in cascade configuration for even higher outputs.

Thanks to these characteristics, the lightweight boilers can save significant time and costs in large commercial applications such as hospitals, hotels and office buildings.

Designing silent products has always been a priority for ELCO, especially in terms of our air-to-water heat pumps, which move large amounts of air, while extracting heat from the environment (even at -20°C).

In order to prevent noise, we added a number of technical innovations, including large evaporators, flow optimised fans, intake grills to limit turbulence, silent boxes and anti vibration dampers. Products are also extensively tested in a semi-anechoic test chamber.

In addition, we have embraced World Class Manufacturing (WCM) since 2011 across all functions of our plant and other corporate bodies. This allows us to achieve lean, flexible and dynamic methods of production.

Product design

ELCO consistently integrates all aspects of form, fit and function into its products, creating award-winning products that stand the test of time. Our design language utilises clean and straight lines, avoiding curves unless they are necessary to a product’s functionality.

We use a simple colour palette of white, grey and black, to help highlight different parts of a product and only use red for our logo. Thanks to this deliberately minimal design approach, ELCO products can be easily integrated into a wide variety of environments, while symbolising technical precision and a dynamic flow of energy.
