LEADING FROM THE FRONT: ELCO AT BASILDON SPORTING VILLAGE
Visitors to the recently opened Everyone Active Basildon Sporting Village, Essex, are benefitting from green and sustainable hot water thanks to 30m2 of SOLATRON® S2.5 panels, two 3,000 litre buffer storage vessels, two 350kW plate heat exchangers and a 1,775 litre INOX-MAXI pre-heat single coil cylinder – all supplied by ELCO.
Opened in April 2011, the new facility is one of the best equipped sporting venues in the county. As part of a joint venture between Basildon District Council and Community Solutions for Leisure, it is the new home of the South Essex Gymnastics Club and could become a training camp for elite athletes. Facilities at the site include a 50m swimming pool, fitness centre, multi-purpose studio and an eight-court sports hall.
