ELCO BOILER AT THE HEART OF EXTENDED RURAL PROPERTY
A recently extended family home near Bath, Somerset, has been fitted with a gas-fired 30kW EURON combi boiler from ELCO UK, formerly MHS Boilers. The new boiler has replaced an ageing and inefficient unit as part of the complete refurbishment of the property’s heating and hot water system.
The unit was specified by property owner, Paul Daly. Commenting on ELCO UK he said: “When we decided to extend the house, it was clear that the heating and hot water services needed some attention, especially with an additional 30m2 on the property. Of course, keeping utility costs to a minimum was a priority, so the EURON’s high efficiencies and excellent controllability made it a great choice.
“As a quantity surveyor, I’ve seen ELCO products used on a range of projects, so I knew the boiler would be reliable for years to come, and so far, so good.”
The new extension was completed in February 2014 by Yates Roofing & Building and the installation was carried out by Bristol-based AWB Pipe Solutions.
EURON boilers utilise a proven helical stainless steel tube heat exchanger with a fully modulating radiant premix burner for high efficiency, low emissions and controllability.
There are two models in the EURON range: a 30kW system and a 30kW combination boiler. The latter boiler will deliver instantaneous hot water up to 11.91l/m raised through 35°C. All appliances in the range can be room-sealed using small diameter flue components and can be used singly or in multiple groups under the control of a cascade manager.
