ELCO ensures more energy and cost efficiency
The property to be renovated was a block of flats in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. The problem was an obsolete heating system with excessive energy consumption. Renovation of the heating system was urgently required, on one hand to save energy, and on the other hand to increase convenience. The housing administration decided on energy supply contracting. The contract was awarded to GASAG WärmeService (GWS) from Berlin. The GWS chose an advanced solution from ELCO: the RENDAMAX 3406 and RENDAMAX 3408. The system was put into operation at the end of the yea. Thanks to the renovation measures combined with a high-performance block-type thermal power station, it was possible to significantly improve the energy balance of the block of flats. This resulted in savings of 19 %.
